Sometime next year i’m going to buy a VST for beats. I’m leaning towards getting Battery 3. There is also Linplug RMV and Guru. I bet some freak has them all. I might get them all in time. It’s funny when i first started making music i never knew the power of VST plugins. They make life easier.
Google is having a tough time keeping this beats blog indexed. Right now there is only one page indexed into Google. By one page being indexed i mean just one page not the blog’s front page. It’s odd because i have written original content and in somewhat good sized posts. Kind of don’t wanna blog now :(
I guess the only place to buy Beats by Dr Dre headphones are on certain websites. I know the Apple Store has them and i heard Best Buy. I saw them on Amazon but it said you can only buy them off site. Never seen that before. And at the left was a link that lead to the Apple Store. The reviews were negative for them. People were saying there was a constant noise within them. I think they called it “floor noise” or something. Isn’t suprising… most celebrity indorsed products are junk. I haven’t tried them so i really can’t say if the headphones are good or not. They seem to be placed in alot of Universal Music videos. Why would artists allow that? I wouldn’t let some other artist hock their stuff in my video.
I don’t understand the technology going backwards. The headphones take batteries. We live in a world of rechargables. How soon before people/parents get annoyed by having to go out and buy batteries for their headphones. lol.
At least they look cool and are headphones and not earbuds.
The iPhone and iPod Touch have a beat maker named “BeatMaker”. The website for the company that made/designed it already ranks 1st in Google for “beat maker”. The website doesn’t have the words “beat maker” in their title tag or in thier URL. I’m guessing it’s rank is from all the geek/tech blogs linking to it and music blogs/forums blabbering about a new way to make beats.
One way to search for beats online is to go to Google and type in something like this… “kickdrum.wav index of” or “kick.wav index of”. Any sound before the period will work. Another example… “snaredrum.wav index of” or “snare.wav index of”. This is digging online for beats.
Pros: You will find a bunch of one-shot drum beat samples.
Cons: It will take forever to download them all because they won’t be in zip or rar folders for easy/quick downloading. Also you will have to go through them all to see if they were properly recorded/chopped. A lot of times there will be a click on the end of the sample from someone who doesn’t know how to chop a sample properly. Another thing is most will be from old drum machines and their sounds won’t be as bangin’/boomin’ as sounds found on beat download websites.
I will blog about beat websites… soon :)
